We create opportunities - working with casting directors, producers and writers to put our clients in the frame for roles across all the genres - film, TV, stage, radio and commercials. Our clients have fantastic support from the office in preparing them for auditions and giving them the best chance to get the job. Once an offer comes in we fight tirelessly to ensure that fees are commensurate with the nature of the role and our client's profile. We work with a number of agencies and managers in LA and New York to ensure that our clients have worldwide opportunities to shine in their careers.
Aileen McEwan has been working at the agency for over 20 years and co-owns the company with James Penford. Aileen is a Bachelor of Arts and her interest in theatre started at University. Aileen has a particular interest in working with clients who act and also write or direct and has a strong passion for new writing.
James Penford joined the company as an assistant 12 years ago. He became a director of the company in 2009 and the company was renamed Hatton McEwan Penford in 2013. We are members of the Personal Managers Association (PMA) and James heads up the West End Working Group.
Jess Francis joined the team in January 2016 having trained and worked as a dancer/actor in the UK and abroad.
Georgina Ward joined the team in July 2017 after graduating from The Liverpool Institute of the Performing Arts with a BA in Arts Management.
We are supported by our bookkeeper team at WMYOB and Accountant Paul Edmondson.
Our Founder is Stephen Hatton who set up the company in 1988 his ambition was to create an agency that really fought for actors fees and rights with a company ethos of training and enabling agents to grow and develop. His vision was to work with agents of like-mind and rep the clients together giving them all-round support and direction. Having achieved great success with clients and building a thriving agency, in Spring of 2016 Stephen decided to retire and headed off to France to start a brand new adventure.
